The KSW-15 powered subwoofer’s built-in, high current amplifier and extra-durable Klipsch low-frequency woofer together create more low-distortion bass energy than the average person needs. But you’re not average, are you? You crave deep, driving bass performance that maximizes every drum kick, every lift-off and every explosion. The down-firing design and sonically tuned port enclosure allow the KSW-15 to produce high output, powerful bass content that maintains the highest possible accuracy levels.
Tuned Port: The tuned port is a feature that lowers distortion and allows for better dynamics. How? Certainly not by accident. It's calculated size and precise tuning increases efficiency and bass response, which gives you more output with less unwanted noise.
BASH® Amplifier: In addition to establishing a new standard for dynamic headroom, BASH® amplifiers quite possibly have the coolest name you could come up with for high-quality loudspeaker components. Come on, admit it. You smiled when you saw what it was called. Fortunately, BASH® amplifiers have a lot more than just a creative moniker. BASH®'s combination of a linear analog output amp with a fast-response digital switching type power supply allows Klipsch to minimize the amount of energy lost as heat, which translates into more power and higher efficiency. This results in an optimal balance among frequency ranges at any volume level and produces greater bass extension.
