75 WATT RMS INTERNAL POWER AMPLIFIER WITH "HEADROOM MAXIMIZER II" CIRCUIT
A very conservatively-rated 75 watt RMS internal M&K Deep Bass amplifier assures the V-75 II of significant output and wide dynamic range. But M&K's HEADROOM MAXIMIZER II amplifier circuit means redefining these terms for single driver subwoofers in this class. This unique circuit insures maximum output and full signal dynamics while preventing amplifier clipping and audible distress.
Unlike competitive powered subwoofers, it allows the V-75 II to achieve full RMS power. This unique circuit helps the V-75 II achieve the most musical performance ever in this class while advancing maximum output and dynamic range (especially for home theater!). And the V-75 II is fully certified to UL, CSA, and IEC 65 electrical safety standards by ETL Testing Laboratories.
NEW HIGH-PERFORMANCE DRIVER
The V-75 II driver is identical in performance and sound to the V-125 driver, meaning powerful, clean output at high levels down to below 20 Hz, with very quick and tight response. Its polyamide dual voice coil and undercut core make for very low distortion.
PHASE CONTROL
A two-position phase switch allows for easy matching of subwoofer and main speaker phase without the introduction of phase and group delay anomalies typical of powered subwoofers with variable phase controls. The V-75 II facilitates system setup without sonic compromise.
FILTERS AND CONTROLS
The V-75 II has M&K's 36 dB/octave low pass rolloff above 125 Hz, making it truly non-directional. M&K's "Filter" control lets you set the woofer's upper rolloff anywhere between 50 and 125 Hz.
